Regional Impact and Future Vision
Enhancing Diagnostic Facilities to Save Lives
We are working to save lives in our region and fund equipment which will mean that this area will have one of the best diagnostic facilities in the UK.
Translational Research: From Bench to Bedside
Hull will be unique in establishing a truly translational bench to bedside research programme in this exciting area of molecular imaging. As the centre becomes fully functional, it is envisaged that patients from a geographical area stretching across to the Pennines, north to Teesside and south to Nottingham will have access to its services.
Location
Located on the outskirts of Hull in Cottingham, the Molecular Imaging Research Centre (MIRC) is based at Castle Hill Hospital. The centre is easily accessible from major cities and local airports, just a short drive from the A63 and M62. This is the only facility of its kind between Edinburgh and Oxford, therefore benefiting universities and professionals in the surrounding regions looking to undertake research and clinical trials.
