Industry Collaboration & Contract Research

Offering world-leading research facilities and production of radiopharmaceuticals, the  Molecular Research Imaging Centre (MIRC) enables the NHS, research institutions, chemists and pharmaceutical companies to undertake research and development projects.

Our flexible project support makes us the ideal partner for advancing asset pipelines at any stage, from early research and translational development through to reliable clinical study delivery.

Our research dedicated capacity provides the facilities and expertise to support, facilitate or complete your project. The MIRC has a dedicated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Suite, and alongside our knowledge and expertise, we ensure pharmaceuticals are produced consistently, safely and in a controlled environment that adheres strictly to regulations.

We house state-of-the-art facilities such as the Translational Research Laboratory, which enables the efficient progression of radiopharmaceutical technologies from early-stage research through to clinical production. In addition to supporting clinical translation programmes, this facility is also available for collaborative radiochemistry research and development projects, including contract research and partnership activities with academic and industrial collaborators.

We are partnering with King’s College London to deliver impactful research and strategically align expertise, infrastructure, and ambition in support of a shared vision to strengthen and advance the radiopharmaceutical landscape in the UK. This collaboration is focused on enabling high-quality translational research and fostering long-term capacity and innovation within the sector.
